What is GigFinesse?

GigFinesse is a platform that helps artists and live performers seamlessly connect with opportunities to perform. Based on your location, your performance history, and the information in your artist profile, the GigFinesse team will work with you to find opportunities to perform and put on shows. Continue reading this brief guide for a look at how we process applications, how we book, how we advance booked shows, and how we handle payout.

Application Process

The application process is what allows the GigFinesse team to get to know you and your band or musical project. Your EPK, socials, and streaming links are going to let us see what you’re up to, listen to your music, and best find you opportunities.

The info you submit in your application makes up your profile - information that we’ll use when creating ticket links and promoting shows. You can edit your profile at any time, changing everything from your band name to updating your socials and streaming. To see how to edit your profile, please give our platform walkthrough a read.

Please note here that we don’t accept every application - we’ll only accept applications for artists who we have opportunities for. If your application is rejected please do not take it as a judgement against you or your art, but as a reflection of our ability to currently book you.

Booking Process

For each of your shows booked through GigFinesse, you’ll work directly with a team-member to lock in each opportunity. Once confirmed for a show you’ll be able to view all necessary pre-show information and input things like guest-list, stage plot, and backline directly on the GigFinesse platform. When the show is over, you’ll receive your requisite payout automatically through direct deposit.

Please note that you can always reach out to the team, either at support@gigfinesse.com or to a team member directly. If there’s a specific date you’d like to play, please let us know! While we cannot guarantee opportunties at specific venues or on specific dates, we’re happy to try and work with you to get you where you want to be.

Advancing Shows

On GigFinesse, outside of certain special cases, 100% of the pre-show or “advancing” process is handled by the platform. Artists who are booked will be asked to:

  • upload backline information

  • upload stage plots (if applicable)

  • input guest-list (if applicable)

This information is automatically relayed to venue staff, including those working sound and door. On the platform you’ll be able to access:

  • full venue backline

  • detailed set-up and load-in instructions

  • critical pre-show information

  • ticket links and promotional material

You’ll receive scheduled emails from the GigFinesse platform pertaining to the above. If you ever have questions about using the platform, or the GigFinesse Advancing process in general don’t hesitate to reach out to support@gigfinesse.com!

Deals and Polling

Artists booked through GigFinesse can be given any number of deal type - before agreeing to a gig you will always be made aware, by the platform and a by a team member, of the specific deal you’ll be playing under.

Many GigFinesse shows will also include polling, meaning that fans will be credited to specific artists at the door. This is done for two reasons:

  1. To get an accurate look at your draw and can better place you for future shows

  2. So that, in the event that polling impacts payout, we can make sure to pay you out fairly based on your individual draw.
